Yuzhang Wu, is a Year 8 student at Pinehurst School. She started learning piano at the age of 5. She is currently studying piano with Dr. Jian Liu and Bryan Sayer. Yuzhang has received the 1st prizes at many different piano competitions in NZ, including Overall Excellence Award of APPA Music Competition, IRMT Scholarship, Piano Concerto Competition in Hamilton. In 2019 she won the 3rd International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in Zhuhai, China. Yuzhang also plays cello at school orchestra, she won some top prizes at different string competitions in Auckland. Yuzhang passed ABRSM Grade 7 cello exam with distinction this year after learning for 3 years.
