Polly Lee is 12 and also a music scholar at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School. She plays piano and violin and has passed Grade 8 on both instruments with distinction. Starting piano at the age of five as a student of Neville Baird, she is now a pupil of Melanie Lina and Michael Endres. Polly has performed with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra once on the piano (duet) and twice on the violin, (solos) while learning the violin with Milana Kornienko. Now she has carried on her violin journey with Iryna Ionenko. In October last year, she enjoyed performing a duet with Richard Clayderman at the Horncastle Arena. She has also been awarded numerous prizes in the Christchurch competitions, most recently being honoured as the Most Promising Girl in her age category. In her spare time she loves snowboarding, jumping on the trampoline and spending time with family, family friends and her dogs.
